Genbaku Dome Mae - The A-Bomb Dome. Hiroshima, Japan.
This is the most powerful monument that I’ve ever been to. To think that so many people died instantly is terrifying. No matter right or wrong, good or bad, friends of enemies, a thing that could kill people like this, should not exist.

In Sendai, I met a teacher who took a break from regular work to work with children orphaned by the great Tsunami.  Rays of sunshine.

Around this time, last year I was at Sanchi.

Today I visited a burial site at Arashiyama, Kyoto and I came across a tomb similar to the Sanchi stupa in form minus the carvings.
